Calling all budding writers!

Science Chronicles is a science fiction writing competition organised by A*STAR's Institute of High Performance Computing (IHPC).

The competition aims to foster a new generation of scientific thinkers and writers who let their imagination reign free when it comes to the infinite potential of science and technology. Science Chronicles is open to all students in Singapore between the ages of 15 and 18 years old.

Students are given free rein to pen their literary creations while including elements of science and technology within their storyline.

Science Chronicles is a literary quest that seeks to:

Identify budding writers among the student cohort
Promote the applications of science, technology, engineering and mathematics to everyone
Encourage imaginative thoughts of science and technology of the future among students
Build a new breed of scientific thinkers and visionaries  - who can fuse the applications of science and research with the art of imaginative literary creation.

There are 2 categories for submission:
 

On-line Submissions for Science Chronicles 2011 will open on 11 March and close on 27 June, 2011.

Science Chronicles 2011 - a book of winning entries from 2010 has been printed and copies will be sent to schools in Feb 2011.
